Things are good and getting better for Ari. First news is that the doctors would like to keep her here for another 2 weeks because they are seeing progress and think it will get better after the casts are off. I posted a couple pic's of her with her 2 casts. The splints didn't fit quite right so they are doing adjustments to them and she should get them back today. And they may be taking her left cast off today instead of Monday, I guess because they think her arm is ready. She started antibiotics last night for a urinary tract infection, which is a pretty bad one and is most likely affecting her ability to respond and progress. Sarah noticed it in Tampa, but the doctors didn't think there was anything there. I am quite certain she will do better after a few doses of the medicine. So Ari has a lot going on again today, but she is doing well and is tough as ever. Her tracking with her eyes is getting better, and we think this will be better after the casts are off and her infection is gone. I went to Walmart and bought her a few toys that might help us work with her in her room on tracking and hearing. She also is doing well on the whole swallowing/tasting thing. She got to eat some chocolate pudding, or I should say taste small bites. But she did well, and as she always did, she loved the chocolate. So Ari is doing well, and progressing. We can't wait to see how much more she responds by Monday, when they take her other cast off and her other problems are gone.
