Not a lot of new info this morning, and I realize it will be slow like this now for a while. She got sick last night, probably due to the gi. Speech therapist just left. She did some different things touching her and getting her to respond a little. She did pretty good. Her eyes dont really focus on anything, so its hard to know what she is seeing right now. But she definitely tries to look at things or people at different times. And her hearing definitely seems to be good. They made these terrible splints to go on her hands yesterday, and they just didn't work well. So the occupational therapist came in this morning and made some new ones. They seem to work a bit better, but will probably need more adjustments . I am confused on whether she is awake or not, but it seems to me like she is. I haven't asked the doctors in a few days because the answers seem to vary so much between each one. But I think she conscious to the point that her temporarily damaged brain will allow her to be. I continue to be amazed at how awesome every doctor, nurse, physician, therapist.... everyone is. Calm, professional, positive, considerate, and very attentive. It makes both me and Sarah feel a lot better every time one of them comes in to check on her. Pediatrics is a little different than all the attention Arianna got in PICU, but as we go into the scheduled therapy and rehab next week Arianna will probably need nurses to check on her less so she can sleep more. Sarah and I are trying to focus now on creating some sort of new schedule or routine for our lives. Sarah and Eugene came over yesterday and we talked a bit about how things might have to be for a while. Then Sarah and I went to dinner and a hotel last night and talked some more. Grandma stayed with Arianna for the night. It was the first time since she has been here that one of her parents didn't stay the night with her. But Sarah and I needed a chance to talk a bit and just finally console and comfort each other after this last week. We know things have been hard, and will continue to be that way for a while, but we also have 3 other beautiful gifts from God that need us and need some sort of stability right now. So I am going to take the kids back to Sebring Sunday night and we are going to try to get to school, do some work, and get the house ready for Arianna's homecoming, whenever that might be. We will be visiting over as often as possible during the week, and staying the weekend in Tampa with Sarah and Arianna. Sarah's mom is going to stay with her over here in Tampa to help support her for now. That's our plan
