Real quick like>>> I was reading through a bunch of the stories on the Hugs website just now. So I looked back to our first posts on Carepages, and realized that for over a week we didn't know about carepages in order to put an update. So I would like to fill you in on where we hang our faith at the moment... or where we "hang our hat." You know, in the middle of that first week all we knew was to pray. When the accident happened, we both were panicking, but I was terrible. Sarah had to slap me, then she grabbed my face while the paramedics were working on Ari, looked me in the eyes, and said "Pray, we have to pray." And we did so. And so many others prayed. And if they weren't praying I probably called them and told them to pray. But one of the things that came out of it was that over a dozen folks told us that when they were praying they felt like they should tell us that Arianna was just "sleeping" like the story in the bible. So I wanted to let you know where we "hang our hats" in reference to our faith. Father has been so faithful: Luke 8 So it was, when Jesus returned, that the multitude welcomed Him, for they were all waiting for Him. And behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue. And he fell down at Jesus’ feet and begged Him to come to his house, for he had an only daughter about twelve years of age, and she was dying. But as He went, the multitudes thronged Him. While He was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue’s house, saying to him, “Your daughter is dead. Do not trouble the Teacher.” But when Jesus heard it, He answered him, saying, “Do not be afraid; only believe, and she will be made well.” When He came into the house, He permitted no one to go in except Peter, James, and John, and the father and mother of the girl. Now all wept and mourned for her; but He said, “Do not weep; she is not dead, but sleeping.” And they ridiculed Him, knowing that she was dead. 54 But He put them all outside, took her by the hand and called, saying, “Little girl, arise.” Then her spirit returned, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that she be given something to eat. And her parents were astonished, but He charged them to tell no one what had happened. I have said before that Ari is becoming more aware, but in the future I should speak the truth and say that she is waking up. By the way, thanks to the Woods who took the time to send us some recipes already. The barbecue for Ari in June was so successful, and we are so excited about the possibilities of this fundraiser!!
