Christmas season and the New Year passed by so fast. Thank you for all the wonderful calls and cards. We have been busy moving and cleaning. We closed on the house on the 28th, just in time for the new year. And man do we love our new house!! Arianna is doing well. Monday she went to the Shriners hospital in Tampa to have her hip looked at. It turns out her left hip is out of socket. At this point there is not much they can do about it, and they told Sarah there is a slim chance it would ever go back in. But it isn't going to affect her therapies or eventual walking. Because Ari is waking up more and more, Shriner's is checking into the possibility of a short-term inpatient stay. They feel like she might be able to benefit from their program. They also checked all her stuff like her splints and wheelchair while she was there, and are gonna make some adjustments. They did bring up Botox again, and Sarah told them no. We learned a lot from IMT about Ari's bodies reaction to some of the stuff we and the doctors themselves did in order to treat the symptoms of Ari's condition, and her body did not like the botox. (Ha ha, imagine the look on a doctors face when they hear "her body doesn't like that"). Baclifen (spelled right?) also came up again to treat her tone. That we are considering, but we have to get her back to the neurologist first to get their recommendation. We will not do the pump though. Her body seems to be maintaining itself now, as far as g.i. and bowel issues. We are keeping her on her diet of raw goats milk and the other stuff we mix up. She actually gained weight, up to 28lbs from 24lbs a couple months ago. So her calories are right. And she gets her Chaga and garlic mullein everyday (no colds or flu). We are going to push the deadline back on the cookbook fundraiser to Jan 10th. We need more recipes. The holiday season was probably a bad time to start this. So if you would like to help, e-mail to timm.family@hotmail.com or mail them to us. 5208 Agora St Sebring, FL 33875 And remember, if you would like to order some of the Chaga stuff we and Ari are taking, you can get it at www.mychaga.com/sarah . We do get a small commission from each order, so order up. Love to all... Happy New Year!
