I have the pic's from Brookes as promised..... but I forgot the cable to upload to the computer. So I will have to get it tomorrow and get them on here. Everything is going great so far. Arianna had a wonderful day Friday even though it was just evaluation day to develop a plan for her therapy. I was on the road at the time, but during her physical therapy my wife called me all excited. The therapist was working with Arianna'a legs and asked her to kick them and she did. Then she asked her to stop and she did. Also some time in there Arianna tried to reach out and push a button on a toy when the therapist asked her to. Sarah was so excited I knew it must have been pretty impressive. The speech therapist was also pleased with Arianna's initial exam. I guess she put some lemon flavored stuff they use in her mouth and Arianna swallowed. She even is talking about giving her her pacifier back to help the muscles in her jaw and mouth strengthen. She is making more and more noise, and after staying with her Friday and Saturday night, I can distinguish between the noises somewhat, just like a baby makes different kinds of crying. She makes this very aggressive loud noise when she is trying to get your attention, and it works. She is also following with her eyes more and more, and I am starting to wonder if the only thing interfering with this is the valium that she is on. Gonna ask the doctors tomorrow. Even though it has been the weekend Arianna has continued to have occupational and speech therapy, even if only a little. Sarah and I have been doing more with her also, sitting her up and doing stretches and massages. We plan to learn all we can and be as aggressive as we can, even after we get home. We are waiting to see what Monday brings since Arianna hasn't had the brain specialist (whichever one that may be)evaluate her yet. I have been studying the brain and treatments a lot, and just finished a book from an Institute in Philadelphia that another family in Sebring has been to with their son. As I start to comprehend Arianna's damage to her brain and understand that what she is facing is a brain injury most exclusively, I am hoping that someone here is going to tell me the plan to treat her brain. I see the need to massage her and move her, but I don't see how that stuff stimulates her brain. And the book I just read verified my same questions. But I have faith that this is where Arianna should be for right now and as I see progress, even the little bit each day, I know that she is going to leave this place so much further ahead
