Jacksonville!! Well, we are here! What a long drive yesterday. I came up to help Sarah and her mom bring Arianna from Tampa so they didn’t get lost or have any problems. What a drive! We left Tampa at 11 and arrived here at 4pm. The trip was without incident, except for all the smoke from that fire in Georgia. After our initial check in at Brooks and the grand tour (Arianna’s hallway is called The Big Top) we met some of the people we will be working with everyday and expect to meet the rest today. The nursing supervisor did say that Arianna will be getting at least 3 hours rehab everyday, and she expects it to be more than that. They will also be making some sort of casts for her hands and feet that we can take on and off per a schedule and that will with her muscle tone. It sounds like she is going to get top of the notch treatment suited for a princess. We were hoping for that sort of aggressive treatment, and are believing that it is by no small chance that Arianna got a bed here. I will be heading back to Sebring in a few minutes to handle some things and pick up the kids, then we are coming back up for the weekend. I am working on maybe coming up here while Arianna is here so I can learn too and support Sarah. The one mother in the hall yesterday was in tears, saying she had to be a cheerleader all day and it was hard to find a proper time to break down. So I imagine this is going to wear on Sarah quickly. We are going to continue updates on this page, but be patient as Brooks does not have internet access except for one computer upstairs somewhere. So Sarah will have to walk across the street to Starbucks (not a bad thing) to do her updates. She is going to get some pics of Brooks and Arianna today and I will get them posted when I get back up here tonight.
