Sorry it’s been a few weeks since my last update. We have only had a few therapies. All of her financial assistance and insurance has been cancelled, and so with things the way they are right now with the economy, we are strapped ourselves. We re-applied but have not heard back yet. Her therapists now are blessing us, as are a few good folks and friends who are contributing. She is also continuing her Ki therapy once a week. All of what she is getting from everyone is working, although we would like to do more.

Ari has been working on sitting supporting herself using her arms, she has been doing good with this she can support herself for about 30 sec now with good head control. She has continued to eat by mouth 3 times a day without much resistance. (And she smiles when daddy tickles her ear and cheek with a kiss—daddy’s comment—“big smiles, big smiles”)

I have been checking into the suit therapy I told you about in the last update. This is an intensive therapy for a 3 week session that helps build muscle strength and they work with the child for 4 hours a day. We have decided to try it with Arianna. I found a place in Orlando that does this therapy for $6,600. We are going to do some additional fund raisers (even though the cookbook is almost done) in the hopes that Arianna can get her 3 weeks scheduled before next summer. If you would like to learn more about suit therapy you can visit www.innovativechildrenstherapy.com if you would like to help us please click on the chip in button we would greatly appreciate any donations to help offset some of the cost. I have also checked into an oral motor specialist that is also in Orlando and we are going to try to get Arianna started there as soon as we get insurance figured out again. The oral motor specialist is a ST that specializes not just in feeding but will also be able to tell us more about what is going on inside Arianna’s mouth and give us some different things to do to get Ari to the point of chewing, swallowing, etc better.

Thank you for checking in on our little princess. And please continue to thank God for her total restoration.
